Artist - Cindy Rehagen Langewisch

Cindy Rehagen Langeewisch, photographer, a New England native and Maine resident for 30 years, currently resides in East Livermore, Maine on a bluff overlooking the beautiful and improving Androscoggin River. Cindy utilizes color slide, color negative, and black and white negative films; she utilizes 35mm, medium and large formats.

She throughly enjoys the journey and creative processes via film. Cindy processes all her black and while film and prints herself. In April 2009, Cindy traveled to Carmel Valley, California whee she studied with master photographer, John Sexton, and his wife, Anne Larsen. She has studied black and white photography through the University of Maine at Augusta and in private with Robert Darby of Winthrop, Maine. She has exhibited in numerous shows over the past four years throughout Central and Coastal Maine. She has also exhibited at the annual juried Maine Photography Show (2007, 2008, 2010); Lewiston Auburn Arts Community Gallery; The Harlow Gallery juried and membership shows: UMA Student Exhibit; Viles Arboretum (2008, 2009); and the Turner Center for the Arts juried shows.

Cindy is the founding member of the Maine Traditional Film Photographers based in Hallowell, Maine ( She is grateful to be sharing her experiences with members of METFP and her husband, Nicholas, and their endearing cat, Smoke.
