Artist - Joyce Dubay

Joyce Dubay is one of Frankllin County's Artist/Instructor and has a great following. A life long resident of New Vineyard Joyce has taught many aspiring and accomplished artist. Joyce and some of her students will be showing at SugarWood Gallery thru March 2012. Joyce's students have a variety of styles and media. Some have studied with her for quite awhile and others have recently begun her classes. Lesson sessions produce a great deal of camaraderie as students get to see each other's style. She allows her students to paint a subject matter of their choice... family pets, homes, and favorite vacation spots are common subjects. Joyce's teaching style includes a lot of encouragement which results in students exceeding their own expectations and succeed in subject areas they may have felt were beyond their reach. Media choice is that of the student with many going from oil to watercolor and then to mixed media or pen and ink on successive projects. The atmosphere in Joyce's studio is one of exploration and discovery.
