Artist - Dubay Art Students
The Art Class of Joyce Dubay are SugarWood Gallery's featured Artists of the Month in May. An Open House reception will be held Friday, April 26 from 4 to 7 PM; and on Saturday, April 27 from 11 AM to 3 PM. The public is invited and refreshments will be available.
Joyce Dubay is an accomplished local artist and widely known and admired. She shares her talents with budding artist, many who have gone on to great accomplishments on their own. Joyce’s classes are noted for their camaraderie among the students as they share their skills and ideas. Subject matter is of the students choosing, each with their own diverse style. Skill levels vary within each class as some students have been painting longer than others. Students have turned out some fantastic pieces of art, many which will be seen at SugarWood.
Students showing include Barbara Crafts, Warren Doe, Matiana Glass, Alice Kamm, Wilfred Manley, Cindie Norton, Rick Rose, Chris Park Warren, Donna Hinkley, Vera Trafton, and Nora West.
Instructor Joyce Dubay has been drawing and painting most of her life and enjoys encouraging others to paint and enjoy the process. She works in many subjects and in media of oil, watercolor, colored pencil, and ink. She enjoys working on location, painting everyday scenes around her. Many of Joyce’s pieces will be on display and most pieces shown will be available for sale.
SugarWood Gallery is located at 248 Broadway in Farmington. Hours are 10 AM to 5:30 PM Monday through Friday and from 10 AM to 4 PM on Saturday and Sunday.
