My love of art started when I was a young girl.  I loved vivid colors, and was fascinated by any paintings I saw.  I dreamed of becoming an "artist", but did not see the fulfillment of that dream until I was almost fifty years old.

I consider the ability to paint as a special gift from God.  For me it is a privilege to illustrate God's amazing creation.  To put a brush to canvas or paper and watch the process and completion of a painting is still a wonder to me.

I am a self-taught artist and love to explore various mediums and styles.  This past year I have been working on a series of palette-knife landscape paintings of our beautiful Maine.  I love to paint the farmlands and mountains around the Farmington area, as well as the rugged beauty of our coastline.  I have found palette-knife painting to be almost like sculpting a scene.  I love the feel and the impressionistic look of the work.

I have also been working on a small series of abstract watercolor paintings on yupo paper.  This work is quite a departure from my former paintings, but again, I find this process to be very rewarding and just plain fun.

My husband and I have spent most of our lives in the State of Maine, but moved to East Wilton just five years ago.  I am a member of Upcountry Artists, and really enjoy the connection with and encouragement from other people who share the same passion for art.
